As a Softgel Manager your responsibilities will include assisting with the management of day-to-day manufacturing and production activity of the softgel department to ensure that products are manufactured safely efficiently and on schedule while adhering to GMP SOP and OSHA/safety regulations and standards.

• Manage Softgel production department in a manner that promotes high standards of work performance in accordance with SOPs GMPs quality regulations and safety practices and that promotes employee morale.
• Lead train coach and develop assistant managers supervisors assistant supervisors leads and all employees within the softgel department.
• Ensure that department metrics are tracked performance gaps identified and action plans for improvement are implemented (RFT OEE Safety Downtime Yields Schedule Attainment etc.)
• Ensure that employee-training programs are accomplished on a timely basis as assigned or needed
• Ensure employees follow procedures as described in batch records and that batch records are completed properly and submitted to Quality in a timely manner.
• Promptly handling work-related issues as they arise in a manner that maintains harmony within and between departments.
• Assist with planning and scheduling of softgel production processes (machines medicine gelatin and inspection); ensures that the schedule is followed as planned meeting required completion/end dates.
• Develop and implement programs to continually improve staff efficiency working abilities and communication skills.
• Troubleshoot softgel formulation and quality issues as well as mechanical and functional problems that affect the production process and if a reasonable solution cannot be achieved execute a backup plan.
• Assist with ensuring the maintenance and sanitation (cleanliness) of softgel production equipment and processing rooms.
• Schedule small pilot runs for R&D and sample purposes as needed or requested.
• Follow established department SOPs cGMP regulations and batch record instructions.
• Complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety rules and regulations.
• Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.
• Perform other related job duties related to the job as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and
• College Degree or applicable training in an accredited college/university; plus
• Five (5) or more years of work experience in a fast-paced work environment; or
• Any combination of experience education and training that provides the level of knowledge skills and experience needed to successfully perform the job.

Work Environment:

• May involve exposure to allergens such as Soy Wheat Fish Shellfish Milk Egg Tree Nuts and Sesame.
• Lifting limitations for this position: 25-30 lbs. May have to manipulate heavier containers.

This position is currently classified as on-site.

Base Salary Range: $101000..00 per year based on candidate professional experience level. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance 401(k) Holidays Vacation Tuition Reimbursement Program.

The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including but not limited to location skills education and experience.
