Majestic Steel is seeking a Plant Quality Manager at our Bedford Heights service center! Youll be the go-to expert for product and process quality overseeing lab testing and managing equipment calibration. You will also lead the process for customer and supplier claims while acting as the key quality point of contact for sales procurement production and other teams internally. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring all products meet company and customer quality standards.

What Youll Do:
- Ensure steel products meet company and customer requirements through quality control procedures
- Ensure Quality Management System components processes and controls remain current and are maintained to meet ISO and Majestic Steel requirements.
- Drive process efficiency and product quality improvements in collaboration with plant operations
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve product quality issues leading plant teams in implementing corrective actions
- Provide quality training to plant associates
- Develop and maintain inspection tools standards and equipment
- Drives progress to resolve supplier claims and customer rejections/technical issues
- Evaluate and resolve customer claims initiating corrective actions
- Manages sample requests including cutting samples sending out to customers and performing tensile testing
- Lead the Material Review Board and provide quality data reporting
- Audit practices to ensure compliance with quality standards and cost control
- Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
Who Were Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Material Science Metallurgical Engineering Quality or other relevant Engineering field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control environment
Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office products and Windows-based applications
Skills:
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey information and ideas across all organizational levels
- Creative innovative and strategic thinker with proven problem-solving skills and process improvement techniques
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills to gather insights develop solutions and drive process improvements
- Continuous learner with a passion for expanding knowledge and skills
What Makes You Stand Out
- Five (5) years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control environment
- Three (3) years of managerial experience
- Background in metallurgy and/or the steel industry with an understanding of defects and anomalies
- Skilled in the application of continuous improvement techniques
Additional
- Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively from a home office setting
- Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed.
- Must be able to travel occasionally and work at an outside location.
