Position Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Travel RN Pediatric Emergency Departmentfor an exciting job in Syracuse NY.

Responsibilities

Deliver patient-centered nursing care for pediatric patients in the emergency department.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement individualized care plans.
Triage patients efficiently and accurately using formal pediatric triage training.
Provide timely interventions based on patient acuity and established protocols.
Collaborate with physicians nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary staff to optimize outcomes.
Accurately document care assessments and interventions in the Electronic Medical Record (EPIC preferred).
Educate patients and families on treatments procedures and discharge instructions.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies safety standards and quality initiatives.
Maintain professional development and clinical competency.

Qualifications

Required:

Active RN license in New York State
BLS certification (current or able to renew)
Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric emergency department experience in an acute care facility of similar size and level
Formal pediatric triage training
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TCRN (Trauma Certified Registered Nurse)
Ability to perform majority of patient care skills independently

Preferred / Highly Desired:

Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers
Additional experience in adult emergency departments
Familiarity with EPIC EMR
