Position: Girls 7^th Grade B Team Basketball Head Coach

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the Girls 7th Grade Basketball B-Team at Allendale Middle School. The mission of Allendale Public Schools is to educate inspire and support all students.

Description:

Organize and work with the Athletic Director to lead coach and direct the Girls 7th Grade B-Team Basketball season.

Qualifications:

• Possess a great love of the sport and a high interest in helping individuals reach their highest potential
• Good role model for student-athletes
• Current knowledge of rules fundamentals teamwork and the ability to relate to and teach teenage students
• Strong commitment to building a successful program for student-athletes
• Evidence of successful coaching experience at the middle school level preferred
• Evidence of expertise in teaching the fundamentals of individual skills and team play
• Evidence of the ability to develop a successful program
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Teacher certification preferred but not required

• Select instruct and coach the team through the season at practices and contests
• Oversee the development of players at the middle school levels
• Create a positive learning experience for all members of the team
• Maintain all records statistics and awards information
• Maintain ongoing communication with players parents and media
• Organize and run youth program
• Monitor program budget

Language Skills:

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community regulatory agencies or staff members.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
