The Opportunity

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for research administration and contract management Monash University is seeking a dynamic and experiencedSenior Officer Grants and Contractsto play a pivotal role in supporting world-class research through expert post-award services.

In this influential role you will:

  • Lead with Expertise: Be the go-to specialist in post-award research administration offering high-level advice and mentoring to team members.
  • Drive Contract Excellence: Evaluate draft and review complex legal documents ensuring accuracy compliance and alignment with University policies and funder guidelines.
  • Solve Complex Challenges: Act as a key escalation point for intricate post-award matters providing sound judgment and strategic insights.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes improve service delivery and support strategic initiatives.
  • Empower Others: Guide and train less experienced staff fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.

What Youll Bring:

  • Significant experience in research administration particularly in post-award management or a degree in legal studies or administration with experience in contract evaluation and review.
  • Proven ability to manage complex workloads mentor staff and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication analytical and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in business management software and a commitment to operational excellence.
