What You Will Do:
Learn and practice using PLC and HMI programming tools under guidance from the Controls Engineering team.
Gain exposure to control system components including selection and application.
Participate in engineering processes such as change management and design reviews.
Support small projects with opportunities to contribute to released design work.
Collaborate with the EDS (drafting) team to develop technical documentation.
Assist MTM with hands-on assembly and troubleshooting activities.
Contribute to design deliverables and support plant installations and startups (based on project needs and skill level).
What You Will Bring:
- Freshman Sophomore Junior or Senior student status working towards a Bachelors degree with an emphasis in an engineering related field of study
- Experience using Microsoft Office including the ability to create basic reports documents presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Strong verbal communication skills in order to clearly explain options and solutions to end-users
- Strong written communication skills demonstrating the ability to prepare outlines reports letters and any other supplemental materials in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to identify issues compare data and investigate discrepancies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Able to give full attention to what other people are saying taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions as appropriate
- Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks projects and priorities
- Ability to collaborate with team members
