Inviting applications for the role of Manager-Agile Business Analyst Product Reference Data with Capital Markets BA!
In this role we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Agile Business Analyst with strong domain knowledge in Capital Markets and Product Reference Data. The ideal candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of financial instruments and their data attributes along with exposure to project management practices. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality streamline data processes and support product master initiatives across trading and operations systems.
Responsibilities
Gather analyze and document business requirements related to product reference data including instrument creation enrichment and distribution.
Work with data stewards operations trading desks compliance and technology teams to ensure consistent and high-quality product data across systems.
Analyze current-state product data flows and define target-state models for onboarding and maintaining reference data.
Translate business needs into functional specifications use cases data mapping documents and workflow diagrams.
Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle product onboarding and front-to-back data flow in capital markets.
Proficient in using MS Office tools especially Excel Power BI and Visio. Familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Exposure to project management Agile or Waterfall methodologies and SDLC.
Coordinate with IT and data vendors (e.g. Bloomberg Refinitiv) to manage data integration and validation processes.
Support change initiatives related to instrument reference data governance process automation and platform enhancements.
Participate in and sometimes lead project planning risk identification and issue resolution for data-focused projects.
Assist in UAT planning execution and signoffs for data-related enhancements.
Monitor data quality metrics and support remediation efforts with appropriate stakeholders.
Ensure regulatory and operational compliance by maintaining accurate and timely product data.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in finance Economics Business Computer Science or a related field.
Relevant years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Capital Markets domain with at least some years focused on product reference data.
Strong understanding of financial instruments such as equities fixed income derivatives and their static and dynamic attributes.
Experience with market data vendors (e.g. Bloomberg Refinitiv Markit) and instrument reference data platforms.
Exposure to project management Agile or Waterfall methodologies and SDLC.
Strong communication analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Experience working in data management reference data operations or market data team.
Knowledge of data modeling and data quality frameworks.
Familiarity with SQL or other data querying tools for analysis and validation.
Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements related to product data (e.g. MiFID II EMIR Dodd-Frank).
Project management certifications (e.g. PMP PRINCE2) or business analysis certifications (e.g. CBAP PMI-PBA) are a plus.
Experience working in global teams or within a large investment bank or asset management firm.
