Ferguson Lodge has been part of Lidcombe since 1979 providing community-based accommodation and support for people with spinal cord injury or similarly related health conditions. Our 24 bed residential care home supports individuals with high and complex care needs with transitional short-stay or permanent accommodation.
About the Role
We are currently seeking RNs with good availability to join us in a Casual capacity. Your duties include:
- Full range of clinical duties including administration of medication wound care UIDC and SPC changes;
- Escalation and deterioration management response and documentation;
- Ensure personal care needs of residents are met by assisting Personal Support Workers where necessary with transfers hoisting dressing and bowel care;
- Liaising with doctors pharmacy and family members to ensure documentation is up to date and available;
- Documentation duties including compiling and reporting on charts and progress notes related to care plans.
About You
This role will suit RNs who enjoy working independently and with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. To be successful you must have:
- Availability to pick up shifts from Monday to Sunday 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm
- AHPRA Registered Nurses with at least 2 years post graduate experience (pay rates start from $45.30 per hour inclusive of Casual loading)
- Willingness to complete a National Police Check NDIS Worker Screening Check and pre-employment health questionnaire
- High attention to detail
- Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities
- Proactive and creative solution seeker
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
