Job Summary
Job Description:
Position: Asst. Manager/Manager - Maintenance (Mechanical)
Location: Umbergaon - Vapi
Experience: 8 - 10 Years
Industries: Plastic
Responsibilities:
- Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance:
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all mechanical equipment (e.g. injection molding machines chillers compressors extruders).
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Monitor and maintain critical spares inventory.
- Machinery & Equipment Management:
- Oversee installation commissioning and regular upkeep of plastic processing machinery.
- Ensure proper calibration and smooth functioning of auxiliary equipment (e.g. cooling towers dryers grinders).
- Coordinate with OEMs for major repairs or servicing.
- Team Management & Training:
- Supervise a team of technicians and junior engineers.
- Provide on-the-job training and skill development to maintenance staff.
- Ensure adherence to maintenance SOPs and safety standards.
- Cost Optimization & Documentation:
- Monitor and control maintenance costs and energy consumption.
- Maintain accurate records of machine history breakdown analysis and PM schedules.
- Suggest and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring breakdowns and take corrective actions.
- Participate in internal and external audits (e.g. ISO GMP customer audits).
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of plastic processing machines (injection molding extrusion blow molding etc.).
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of TPM Kaizen 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
- Familiarity with ERP/CMMS systems is an advantage.
Required Qualification:- B.E/ - Mechanical
