Plateau Group is looking for a system administrator. The system administrator will be responsible for STIG implementation system backup verification database management and virtual machine implementation/maintenance.

Requirements

System administration support to include operations maintenance lifecycle management installation configuration monitoring troubleshooting and reliable operation of computer systems network and servers including tiered support

Responsible for the maintenance configuration security and reliable operation network servers and virtualization

Install/upgrade computer components and software manage virtual servers and integrate automation processes

Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics documenting problems and resolutions prioritizing problems and assessing impact of issues

Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure

Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection disaster recovery and failover procedures

Support desktop and helpdesk support efforts making sure all desktop applications workstations and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions

***MUST have an active Secret Clearance (or higher) AND Security NO exceptions***

To get started you must also be a high school graduate.

Experience with the following is required:

Server Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

Remote Server Backups

VM Technologies

DNS

Active Directory

Server Patching

Knowledge of US Army computer systems and policies preferred

Other Preferred Skills:

Willingness to learn and apply new skills

- Good organizational skills

- Work well with others in a team environment

- Microsoft Power Platform

- SQL Database management

- Linux programming structure knowledge

- Troubleshooting and technical capabilities

- Understanding of T-SQL

- Provide technical expertise work with senior developers and mentor junior developers
