What Youll Do
The Intermediate Planner/Scheduler you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of engineering procurement and construction management (EPCM) projects. You will be responsible for developing maintaining and analyzing project schedules across all phases of the project lifecycle ensuring alignment with project goals deadlines and resource allocations. You will work closely with project management engineering procurement and construction teams to provide accurate schedule forecasts and critical path analysis facilitating proactive decision-making in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment.Key Responsibilities:Schedule Development & Maintenance- Develop monitor and update integrated project schedules using appropriate scheduling tools across all project phases (FEL detailed design procurement construction and commissioning).
- Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) activity coding and resource loading in accordance with project execution plans.
- Ensure schedule logic durations and dependencies accurately reflect the scope and sequencing of work.
Progress Measurement & Reporting- Track schedule progress and performance against baseline; identify deviations and support mitigation planning.
- Generate and present schedule performance metrics look-ahead reports and schedule health checks to project stakeholders.
- Provide input into project progress reports dashboards and earned value analysis.
Forecasting & Analysis- Conduct critical path near-critical path and float path analyses to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Forecast schedule impacts based on changes in scope productivity or resourcing.
- Support scenario planning and recovery plan development when required.
Stakeholder Collaboration- Collaborate with engineering procurement construction and commissioning teams to gather schedule input and validate activity sequencing.
- Participate in regular project meetings contributing schedule insights to support project decision-making.
- Interface with client representatives subcontractors and vendors to align schedule expectations.
Governance & Compliance- Ensure adherence to corporate and project-specific scheduling standards and procedures.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required scheduling documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and scheduling processes.
Qualifications & Skills- Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field.
- Intermediate Role: 49 years of experience in planning and scheduling within the construction or EPCM industry.
- Senior Role: 10 years of progressive experience in project planning and scheduling on large-scale multidisciplinary projects.
- Proficient in the use of industry-standard scheduling software (e.g. Primavera P6 MS Project or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of project management principles earned value management and construction methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment under tight deadlines.
