Role Focus and Responsibilities
The role is focused on application security specifically centered around Web Application Firewalls (WAF). The candidate will be responsible for the full range of WAF-related tasks including analysis threat hunting creating rules and configuring the firewall. They will also work with application teams to troubleshoot issues and set up WAF blocks. The position requires an independent self-motivated individual who can take charge of their work.

Must-Have Skills
Web Application Firewall (WAF): The candidate must be an expert in WAF. While experience with any WAF is acceptable specific experience with the
Akamai WAF and CDN is highly preferred.
This includes knowledge of the OWASP top vulnerabilities (e.g. cross-site scripting SQL injection) DDoS protection and bot identification/prevention.
Splunk: The candidate must be well-versed in Splunk including running searches creating dashboards and performing traffic analysis.
Communication Skills: Strong and professional communication skills are essential for interacting with application teams.
Preferred Skills
Content Delivery Network (CDN): While not a primary focus like the previous opening for this role knowledge of CDN is still beneficial.
