Smith Industries is looking for a hands-on results-driven Senior Safety Manager to take our safety culture to the next level. We need someone who thrives on solving problems driving accountability and making an impact every single day. Responsibilities
- Develop implement and maintain company-wide HSE programs and policies.
- Drive compliance with OSHA TCEQ DOT and customer safety requirements.
- Lead risk assessments safety audits and incident investigations; implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Track and report leading and lagging indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with leadership supervisors and employees to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Oversee training programs PPE and equipment readiness and safety documentation.
- Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies audits and customer safety requirements.
- Mentor and lead HSE team members to build accountability and engagement.
Key Requirements
- 8 years of progressive HSE experience with at least 5 years in heavy fabrication or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1926 standards and environmental regulations.
- Proven track record in incident prevention risk assessment and compliance management.
- Preferred certifications: CSP CIH OSHA 30-hour (General Industry & Construction) First Aid/CPR Instructor.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
