Senior Accountant Needed
Are you ready to take your accounting expertise to the next level Celero Commerce is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical financial processes collaborate across departments and mentor others while making a direct impact on the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate month-end close activities to ensure timely accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare complex journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Manage multi-entity consolidations allocations and eliminations.
- Oversee sales tax payroll tax and regulatory filings across multiple states ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain the fixed asset schedule including capitalization depreciation and tracking.
- Support external audits with schedules documentation and responses.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
- Mentor and train junior staff members fostering team growth and knowledge-sharing.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Experience & Requirements:
- Brentwood TN - based position
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
- Proven experience leading month-end close processes and preparing journal entries.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience with NetSuite (or similar accounting systems).
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communicator who collaborates well across teams.
- Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
- A proactive self-starter attitude with the ability to problem-solve and drive improvements.
