Job Description
Our team is part of the Morgan Stanley Firm Resilience organization with focus on testing exercises related to database application cyber-attack recovery scenarios. Using Agile methodologies our team plans and executes testing exercises to assess recovery capabilities of the underlying infrastructure. Database related testing involves various on-premises platforms like DB2 Sybase MSSQL as well as several Cloud specific databases. Cyber-attack (DDoS) testing involves planning and executing tests that helps assess the Our team is also responsible for maintaining an in-house lab to facilitate testing in a way that ensures data security and no production impact.
As a member of this global team a successful candidate will be partnering with business and application teams database administrators and infrastructure teams in a dynamic challenging cross-divisional program based on Agile methodologies. They will also be responsible for supporting and implementing enhancements to the existing lab infrastructure as well as automating manual processes using the latest technologies.
This is NOT a QA testing role. Requirements
>Working understanding of software application development concepts and Unix/Linux/Windows.
>Working understanding of the concepts behind structured and non-structured databases.
>Exposure to Disaster Recovery Cyber and Network security concepts.
>Knowledge of SQL and data query concepts.
>Exposure to software programming and/or scripting using Python Java
Excellent project planning and communication skills.
>Excellent problem-solving skills and passion for developing new and creative solutions to complex problems.
>Good understanding of technology resilience testing concepts.
>Working knowledge of the Agile / DevOps model.
>Exposure to business intelligence tools like Power BI QlikView
Nice to have.
>Exposure or interest in on demand service (SAAS IAAS PASS) and/or Cloud technologies.
>Exposure to Mainframe.
>Exposure to financial industry and trade flow.
>Exposure to business application resilience concepts.
Education
>Bachelors degree or equivalent certification in Technology and/or Engineering field.
