KentislookingforaSeniorOnshorePipelineEngineerwhowillberesponsiblefortheproductionofengineeringdeliverablesand Lead Pipeline more junior deliverytothe Lead Pipelines Engineer.

TheSeniorOnshorePipeline Engineeristypicallyaccountabletothe Lead Engineer and/orProject PipelinesDeliveryteamtoworkcloselyandcollaborativelywithKentsexistingSubseaandPipelinesTeamtodeliverand execute onshore and offshore pipeline projects.

calibrepeopleforthiskeyEngineeringrolethathavetalententhusiasmanddrivetoinfluenceandbepartofourexcitingexpansionplan. TheUKEngineeringgroupwillsupportavarietyofinterestingandchallengingopportunitiesinLowCarbon/EnergyTransition(CCUS GreenHydrogenBlueHydrogenOffshoreWindWastetoXEmissionsReduction)aswellasresponsiblydevelopingtraditional (includinginternationalworkshareand teamworking)andcommittedtoalong-termcareerwithinahighperformingandcloseteamaresomeofthekeyqualitiesweareseeking.

We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work with a requirement to be in the Woking office four days a week. This approach supports the development of a strong and effective team dynamic within Engineering.

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • TechnicallyresponsibleforPipelinescopeandself guidedpreparationofprojectdeliverables. Subject to project size will delegate some level of supervision and specific checking activities to appropriate competent personnel.
  • May deliver smallerPipelineFEEDstudies; and with experience gainedsupervisingreviewingandcheckingthepipelineactivitiesincluding:PhilosophiesSpecificationsRoutingStudiesMechanicalDesignMaterialSelectionCorrosionProtectionStress AnalysisLayoutsDrawingsDatasheetsandTechnicalRequisitions&BidEvaluations.
  • ResponsibleforthemaintenanceofthePipelinesDeliverablesRegister. May be delegated tasksacrossthepipelinesproject team including planning/schedulingthepipelineengineeringactivities andregularprojectcontrols/reportinginputtoProjectManagement.
  • Supervisingandcheckingtheworkof more juniorengineers.
  • Identifyingandresolvingdiscrepanciesanddivergencesfromoriginalproposal/contractunderthesupervisionofthelead / principal engineer.
  • EnsurescompliancewithKentsISOaccreditedQMSandprojectspecificproceduresguidesandstandards.
  • Inconsultationwithallocated GroupManager and/or Pipelines TA/SMEtakesresponsibilityforidentifyingowndevelopmentneedsandensuringthatagreeddevelopmentgoalsaremettakingduecognisanceofprojectcommitments.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employees skills capabilities and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employees current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Yourknowledge/skillseducationandexperience:

  • TypicallyholdsaMastersEngineeringdegree(honoursorequivalent)inMechanicalCivilStructuralNavalArchitecture or similar engineering discipline.
  • Charteredstatuspreferred must be a member of a Professional Engineering Institution.
  • ExposuretoFEED/detaileddesignandEPCprojects.
  • Strongexperienceofworkingforengineering/clientorganizationsintheonshore/offshoreoilandgas industry.
  • Knowledge of subsea pipelines is also useful.
  • Understandingofthefundamentalsofpipelineengineeringandofregulatoryframeworkscodesand standards.
  • Experience in design and analysis of CO2 and H2 onshore and offshore pipelines in the Low Carbon sector is considered advantageous.

Communication:

  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
