The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Data Quality Subject Matter Expert to join the team in Seattle WA or El Segundo CA.
As the Data Quality Subject Matter Expert you will lead the strategy and execution of data quality initiatives to ensure trusted accurate and timely information across Boeings aviation systems. Collaborating closely with data owners engineers analytics teams and program stakeholders you will define data quality standards implement monitoring and remediation workflows and deliver comprehensive reporting. Your focus will be critical on datasets governed by export and trade controls contractual obligations and safety and regulatory requirements. Position Responsibilities:
Define and implement enterprise data quality framework standards and processes (profiling rules thresholds reconciliation remediation)
Develop and manage data quality metrics SLAs dashboards and automated monitoring for critical aviation datasets (engineering data telemetry supply chain HR CDRL deliverables)
Collaborate with Data Governance SME to ensure classification and custody inform quality controls and remediation priorities (e.g. ITAR/GTCcontrolled datasets)
Design and implement datavalidation rules transformation checks and reconciliation processes across ETL/ELT pipelines and data stores
Work with engineering analytics and platform teams to instrument data pipelines for observability (lineage provenance completeness timeliness)
Establish incident and remediation workflows: notify data owners track tickets and verify corrective actions; integrate with change control for production fixes
Lead rootcause analysis for recurring quality failures and drive permanent fixes with engineering and program teams
Provide training playbooks and runbooks for local data stewards to own daytoday quality maintenance
Support audits regulatory reporting and contract deliverable verification; maintain records demonstrating data integrity and remedial actions
Evaluate and recommend data quality tooling (automated profiling metadata integration anomaly detection) and support deployment with IT
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10 years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior management customers stakeholders peers and partners
10 years of experience in working with Data Quality or Data Cleansing activities
10 years of experience in data governance data management or related function within aerospace defense or other highly regulated industries
10 years of experience with data pipeline tools and Extract Transform Load (ETL) services
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or equivalent work or military experience
Experience with data quality tools (e.g. Great Expectations Talend Informatica Ataccama Collibra quality modules etc.)
Experience with data governance data modeling and master data management concepts
Experience with operationalize ML/AIbased anomaly detection for data quality
Experience with stakeholder management and communication across technical and nontechnical teams
