Job Description Summary:

Under general supervision the Clinical Laboratory Representative performs as customer service center representative for the Laboratory. Facilitates communication with patients outpatient physicians offices the Laboratory and between patients staff and other units in the hospital. Problem solves concerns for doctors offices nursing units and physicians. Provides lab results via telephone mail and fax. Perform patient registrations as assigned including stat registrations. Further responsible for preparing materials including ABNs and ICD9 codes as related to the registration process.

Job Requirements Prerequisites and Essential Functions:

EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE
Experience with customer service related job duties
Experience within a Call Center Preferred
Ability to communicate in Spanish as a second language preferred

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire

PREREQUISITE SKILLS
1. Ability to work in teams in which all members are mutually accountable
2. Ability to work collaboratively with team members hospital staff patients and physicians
3. Capable of organizing multiple tasks and using good time management and attention to detail
4. Demonstrated professional telephone skills
5. Understanding of medical and laboratory terminology Medi-Cal and Medicare forms
6. Basic computer knowledge with the ability to do data entry and retrieval
7. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
8. Ability to read speak write understand and follow English and written instruction

Compensation:

The posted pay range complies with applicable law and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Individual pay is set by skills experience qualifications and internal/market equity consistent with MarinHealths compensation philosophy. Positions covered by collective bargaining agreements are governed by those agreements.
