About the role:
We are seeking a technical expert in Compute domain to join Belgium Research Center. The role will work closely with global collaboration team technology planning team and product team to define long-term and short-term technology strategy. The successful candidate will identify collaboration opportunities with leading academic scientists and innovative startups in the EU driving next-generation business and consumer experiences in both general-purpose and AI compute domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth technical analysis of global state-of-the-art computing technologies with a focus on chip design and memory media. Synthesize findings to identify strategic technological value and opportunities for Huaweis Compute business
- Provide insights on collaboration resources aligned with corporate strategic compute technology directions. Identify and engage with top academics startups and VCs to understand cutting-edge research and technologies promptly conveying opportunities for technology investments or acquisitions
- Cultivate long-term relationships and partnerships with strategic collaborators (university scholars startup CTOs etc.) to generate valuable business or research outcomes
- Identify technological trends and top resources through comprehensive technical assessment. and work closely with global teams to define the technical roadmap for the long-term and short-term research and development initiatives
Qualifications
- Masters degree or higher in Computer Science Electronical Engineering or related fields with a specialization in computer architecture Ph.D. is advantageous
- Solid record track on scientific publications especially in chip (CPU/GPU/NPU/DPU) design or memory medium (DRAM SRAM PCM etc.)
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written); proficiency in Chinese speaker is a plus
- Robust Technical background with profound understanding of at least one of the following IT technologies: memory I/O interconnect HPC server AI server CPU/GPU/NPU/DPU accelerator hardware/software co-design etc.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge through academic papers conference attendance and engagement with renowned professors
- Strong technical acumen and broad ICT knowledge with an awareness of technological trends and sensitivity to state-of-the-art ICT advancements
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with reputable companies and individuals. Adept at presenting complex ideas concisely to diverse audiences
