Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a cell biologist research scientist to join our Cell Hub team within the High Throughput Human Biology (HTHB) group in Boston Research. The Cell Hub focuses on the maintenance tracking QC and production of cell biomass for Vertexs most important assays while also exploring and developing new techniques for large scale production of complex cell models. Experience with aseptic technique when culturing mammalian cells is required and experience with iPSC expansion and differentiation is desired. Experience with automation bioreactors or cell microcarriers is a plus. The successful candidate should be highly self-motivated have outstanding technical record-keeping and communication skills high attention to detail and be capable of working independently on the execution of all we are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual with a passion for in vitro cell culture who enjoys working in a fast-paced highly collaborative team environment to support multiple discovery project teams.

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors including skills competencies experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
