Holmesglen Private Hospital Moorabbin is looking to employ a Registered Nurse with experience for its Urology applicants with the right clinical background are encouraged to apply.
Holmesglen Private Hospital offers an extensive range of healthcare services along with rewarding and exciting career opportunities. The Hospital includes; 147 beds across 5 wards providing Medical Surgical and Rehabilitation Services combined Intensive care and Coronary care unit Emergency Department 7 Operative suites Catheter Laboratory Day of Surgery Admission and Day Infusion/Oncology Services.
As a Registered Nurse you will be supporting our Urological Consultants and ward staff. The role involves:
- Flow rates residuals continence education passage of sounds(surgeon in attendance for males
- Providing evidenced based nursing care
- Driving clinical outcomes
- Ensuring patient and staff safety
- Pre-operative and post-operative visits to patients post major urological surgery
- Trialof Voids wound checks staple or stitch removals catheter changes as well as hormone and Firmagon injections
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery rehabilitation or end of life needs

Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check
- Specialty nursing experience - Minimum 2 years experience in Urology
- Proven track record in providing clinical direction in Urology
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- Ability to problem solve and work within a changing environment

If you are successful you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses and Midwives Agreement 2021-2025 (salaries range between $34.22and $48.32 per hour).
