An Associate Embedded Software Developer you will develop the next generation of embedded applications for the fire detection business. This is an opportunity to analyze design program debug modify test and implement software used in Fire Alarm Systems.
The successful applicant will be technically competent and a quick learner well organized determined able to pay attention to details be driven by the success of the team but also be capable to handle tasks autonomously and be proactive on the job.
How you will do it
- Design develop and test high quality software for fire alarm systems.
- Actively participate in aspects of software development activity
- Interact with people in different departments organizations and in other locations around the world
- Push the product vision forward as a passionate advocate
- Spark idea generation and provide continuous feedback and to address our customers needs
- Support and mentor your teammates and other functional groups
- Continuously strive to hone your skill set
What we look for
Required
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering Computer Science or equivalent
- Working knowledge of C programming language
- Strong team player with well-developed interpersonal skills results oriented and self-motivated
Assets
- 1-2 years of embedded software development experience
- Knowledge of formal development methodology
- Knowledge in multithread multi-process and real-time application development
- Knowledge of C programming language
- Familiar with Network protocols
- Hands on experience with ARM Coldfire or Microchip 8 and 32 bits processors
- Ability to plan and estimate software projects
- Experience with versioning tools (e.g. Integrity Git)
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Bash Make Python)
