Sample Management Technician I

At SPL we turn science into impact. Were searching for a detail-oriented Sample Management Technician to join our laboratory team in Reading PA. In this role youll handle the intake documentation and organization of environmental samples to support compliance and decision-making. From logging samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to overseeing storage and distribution your work ensures accuracy efficiency and integrity across the lab.

What Youll Do

• Receive and document samples from clients couriers and staff;
• Verify sample conditions and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements;
• Accurately log sample details and requested analyses into LIMS;
• Label organize and distribute samples to laboratory teams;
• Maintain orderly and secure sample storage retrieval and disposal;
• Prepare sample kits and manage outbound shipments;
• Assist with inventory supply preparation and other support functions;
• Maintain a safe clean and compliant work environment;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
• Familiarity with basic chemistry preferred;
• Basic computer skills including database and spreadsheet entry;
• Strong recordkeeping skills with attention to detail;

Your Schedule and The Fine Print

• Part-time position working 3 days per week at 8 hours per day (24 hours total per week); Specific days of work will be determined in coordination with management;
• Regular and punctual attendance required.
