The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science leading policy and advocacy campaigns and building partnerships.
We plan to spend 16bn over the next ten years funding new discoveries in life health and wellbeing and taking on three global health challenges: mental health infectious disease and climate and health.
These challenges need the bold science we support but they wont be solved by science alone.
We are looking for a Workplace Equity Specialist to join our team.

What will I be doing
As a Workplace Equity Specialist youll play a pivotal role in advancing equity across Wellcome and its partners by shaping strategy advising on policy and driving initiatives aligned with our Equity Framework.
Youll lead and help deploy strategic initiatives to embed Workplace Equity across Wellcome and its partnerscollaborating with internal teams and external organisations offering expert advice managing cross-cutting projects and using data and insight to shape inclusive policies and practices
As a Workplace Specialist you will:
Collaborate both internally and externally to advance strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace equity helping drive Wellcomes mission and Equity Framework.
Manage Wellcomes Staff Networks working with them to become true enablers of an inclusive workplace
Partner with various Wellcome teams to provide strategic guidance on workplace equity utilising expertise from research science and cultural sectors to inform high-quality support.
Offer expert advice to assist external partners in improving and ingraining workplace equity
Cultivate strong relationships within Wellcome to advocate for the organisations workplace equity agenda influencing the integration of equity in policies and practices.
Analyse multiple data sources to identify gaps in Workplace Equity and contribute to the evidence base matrix managing cross-department projects while adhering to risk management and budget guidelines.

Minimum Criteria:
Experience partnering to deliver activities that help drive Workplace Equity; committed to developing and co-creating meaningful change in collaboration with others.
A strong knowledge of both the principles and practical application of workplace equity including an awareness and knowledge of best institutional practices policies key topics and relevant EDI legislation and frameworks.
Data literate; experienced analysing diverse sources of data and insight to provide the evidence base for Workplace Equity gaps and interventions
Experience managing Staff Networks/Employee Resource Groups and supporting them to become true enablers of an inclusive workplace
Able to adapt to changing priorities and to deal with issues as they arise in a dynamic environment.

Our Hybrid Way of Working

At Wellcome we have a hybrid way of working which is 3 days in our Euston Road offices (Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday) with the remaining 2 days working either remotely or in the office.
