Position Overview:
Louisiana First News in Baton Rouge is seeking a motivated college student to join our Engineering Department for an internship at FOX 44 NBC 33 CW 21 and ZTV. This is a valuable opportunity to gain real-world experience in the technical side of broadcast televisionfrom maintaining equipment to supporting live production environments.
What Youll Experience:
- Basics of broadcast signal flow and studio operations
- Hands-on experience with audio/video routing control systems and IT infrastructure
- Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of station wide equipment
- How technical teams support daily newscasts and special broadcasts
- Safety and compliance procedures in a professional broadcast facility
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a college or university program (junior senior or graduate level preferred)
- Majoring in Engineering Broadcast Technology Electronics Computer Science or related field
- Interest in broadcast systems electronics or IT
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Must be able to receive academic credit for the internship
- Dependable transportation and flexible availability
Additional Information:
This is an unpaid internship and must be completed for academic credit. Interns will work under the supervision of our experienced engineering team and gain exposure to both traditional and modern broadcast technology in a live television environment.
