Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman / Lead Technician

This is your opportunity to join the areas premier heavy construction equipment dealership as a Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman / Lead Technician.
In this role youll work closely with our Service Manager and Service Technicians to deliver superior customer service while maintaining a collaborative safety-focused shop culture.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in diagnosing troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction equipment including excavators wheel loaders drills portable aggregate/crushing plants hydraulic breakers and road wideners.
This is a Union Position with the Local 158 Union.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: Starting at $40/hour (Depending on experience)
- Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM3:30 PM (overtime as needed)

Essential Duties
- Manage and schedule shop technician workload in coordination with Service Management
- Provide leadership guidance and technical support to shop technicians
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment systems (motors transmissions hydraulics electrical exhaust/aftertreatment)
- Oversee preventative maintenance and repair schedules for customer equipment and our 150-piece rental fleet
- Promote and maintain a safe positive work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years as a Shop Foreman or equivalent supervisory experience
- Minimum 10 years in mechanical service technician or diesel technology roles (5 years in heavy equipment repair required)
- Experience with Link-Belt Hitachi Sandvik and/or Anaconda equipment preferred
- Hands-on experience rebuilding diesel engines transmissions and hydraulic pumps
- Proven supervisory/leadership skills including scheduling and technician support
- Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to read/interpret hydraulic & electrical schematics
- Proficiency with laptop diagnostic tools and computer programs
- Self-motivated organized detail-oriented and deadline-driven
- Effective communicator across all levels (leadership team customers)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs; valid drivers license with clean record
- Road or field technician experience a plus; some travel may be required
