POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the preparation of food in accordance with current applicable federal state and local standards guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the (Asst) Dietary Services Director to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates commitment to companys mission values and standards of ethical behavior.
- Models a positive and professional image that emulates the organizations mission and encourages a spirit of cooperation with co-workers. Provides assistance to co-workers and promotes teamwork by sharing information useful to achieving desired results.
- Ensures that all residents are treated fairly with kindness dignity and respect and their rights are protected at all times.
- Respects and upholds all residents personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties including knocking before entering a residents room.
- Prepares meals in accordance with planned menus standardized recipes therapeutic diets and authorized substitutions. Reviews menus prior to preparation of food.
- Prepares and serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
- Prepares food in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as with established policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years dietary experience required preferably in an acute or long term care environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of Food Safety/Sanitation course required

Salary Range: $19 - $20/hr*
*The salary range is the one that Corona Post Acute reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual salary will depend on several factors (e.g. experience educations qualifications etc.).
