Responsibilities
The Warehouse Specialist conducts a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of U.S. Armys supply procedures and policies.
Verifies materials against receiving documents.
Notes and reports discrepancies and obvious damages.
Routes materials to prescribed storage locations.
Stores stacks or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials.
Examines stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
Removes material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
The Paramedic / Firefighter is responsible for protecting life property and the environment through fire suppression emergency medical care and hazard mitigation. This position combines firefighting duties with advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care in alignment with state regulations departmental policies and medical direction. The role requires professionalism strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in high-stress environments as part of a team.
Paramedic/Firefighters are accountable to medical direction the public and their peers.
Position is contingent upon contract award
Responsibilities
Emergency Medical Services:
Perform pre-hospital emergency medical care in compliance with state EMS rules and medical direction.
Provide advanced life support (ALS) interventions within the scope of practice.
Maintain patient confidentiality and provide accurate documentation and detailed reports.
Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency calls.
Conduct vehicle extrication and other rescue operations as needed.
Firefighting & Safety:
Perform fire prevention and suppression duties.
Protect life and property during emergency incidents.
Maintain a safe environment for all patients co-workers and the public.
Observe survey and report on activity at assigned locations.
Operational Duties:
Conduct daily vehicle inspections cleaning and maintenance of emergency units.
Perform daily supply inventory and equipment checks with EMT partners.
Operate emergency vehicles and radios safely and professionally.
Enforce departmental procedures regulations and standards as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Operates hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
Works both indoors and outdoors.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications
Current and valid Tennessee Paramedic certification (or eligible to obtain prior to hire).
Firefighter Level I & II certification or equivalent specialized training.
Minimum age: 21 years to operate emergency vehicles.
Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
Current CPR ACLS and PALS certifications.
No disqualifying criminal convictions as defined by state law.
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions including hazardous environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and medical direction.
Continuing Education and Certification:
Attend continuing education and refresher training courses as required by medical direction and licensing agencies.
Complete recertification at least 60 days prior to expiration (employee responsibility).
Working Conditions:
Physically demanding work in emergency situations including exposure to fire chemicals extreme weather and potentially dangerous conditions.
Shift work including nights weekends and holidays.
Emergency response may require rapid deployment and extended hours.
