Cleaning & Laundry Assistant

The Role

At Infinite Aged Care Housekeeping & Laundry Assistants play a vital role in ensuring residents enjoy a clean safe and comfortable living environment. Approximately 50% of your work will focus on laundry services including washing drying ironing folding and sorting residents clothing and linen.

Working closely with the Facility Manager and Hotel Services Team Leader you will also assist with general housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident rooms common areas and dining halls ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for everyone.

Part-time shifts: 7:00 am 1:30 pm Monday to Friday.

This role is a physical role whereby you will do a lot of bending squatting lifting and pushing items to carry out your daily tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself your colleagues and our residents.

Compassionate with a customer service mindset you are a strong communicator and problem solver who thinks on your feet builds supportive relationships and strives for the highest standards of cleanliness hygiene and order within the entire facility.

At Infinite Age Care we hire on attitude and aptitude so you DO NOT need experience in the aged care sector you do however need to be aligned with our philosophy and values have strong communication skills be computer literate and a commitment to resident wellbeing as well as the following

• Demonstrated cleaning and laundry experience required.
• Ability to work off set checklists on a daily basis and follow agreed procedures for safety.
• Ability to work with chemicals hazardous products and heated equipment in a very safe manner.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills and high empathy as interacting with residents is a daily occurrence.
• Ability to turn up to shift on time be ready to start your shifts and follow the days activities in a positive manner.
• Adopt a safety-first approach to daily tasks and supporting colleagues at all times so everyone goes home safe and positive.
