Job Summary
Our client is seeking a new warehouse operator who wants a long and rewarding career in logistics with a small dedicated team of professionals who work hard to exceed their clients expectations daily. They handle a wide range of cargo and will provide ongoing training on all equipment and systems so you can progress in your career.
This is a permanent full-time Monday- Friday position. You will need to be flexible and available to work additional hours during peak season (Dec-Feb).
The day-to-day responsibilities:
- Loading/unloading materials from containers air units and trucks with forklifts and by hand.
- Carefully checking in / out freight in line with company SOPs border agency & client requirements.
- Checking stacking away & picking stock from ambient chilled frozen areas.
- Maintain a clean & organised work environment and follow company policies.
- General yard duties and supporting other team members and yard operations as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current OSH certificate and F endorsement with at least 3 years forklift experience.
- A great awareness and attitude towards Health and Safety.
- Ability to navigate and operate a computer
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
Bonus Skills:
- Dairy handling experience including slipsheet loading
- MPI AP accreditation
- Airfreight experience
- First aid certificate
- Previous forwarding or logistics roles
Excellent remuneration is on offer which will be based on skillset and experience.
