Job Description

Healthcare Network (HCN) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) based in Southwest Florida whose mission is to provide quality healthcare to everyone in our community regardless of insurance status. The rheumatologist is a board certified and experienced clinician who will be instrumental in overseeing clinical care for patients in Healthcare Networks Infusion Center. The rheumatologist will clinically oversee the practices of staff to include an infusion nurse prior authorization specialist and billing to ensure timely access to infusion services and payment from payors. A collaborative model with other specialists is encouraged to enhance the degree of clinical excellence delivered to our patients. This specialist may also carry a small panel of patients requiring rheumatological care. This position requires 0.6 to 1.0 FTE.

  • Education/Training Level:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years as practicing provider with unrestricted medical license.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • State of Florida Medical License Board Certification
    • Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) according to guidelines set forth by the American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Course (BLS-HCP) or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Bilingual preferred (Spanish Creole)
    • Must effectively interact with all levels of vendors employees and patients from a variety of socioeconomic environments.
    • Must have the ability to communicate in written and verbal form
  • Technology Skills:
    • MS systems (Office 365)
    • EMR systems: Athena One Athena Practice Epic WeInfuse.

Candidates for hire must complete our pre-employment processing which includes a level two AHCA screening urine drug screen and validation of job required immunizations.
