Job Summary
The Northampton Public Schools is seeking a 1:1 Paraeducator! JFK Middle School 1:1 Paraeducator (1)32.50 hours per week Monday through Friday from 8:05 a.m. 3:05 p.m. Hourly Pay Rate: $23.04-$29.07 based on experience FY26 pay rates currently in negotiations. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or its equivalent: ParaPro or similar assessment program certificate or 48 hours college credits preferred. Professional development as working with children. Physical Requirements:Light to moderate physical effort demanded in caring for students/staff. May be required to transfer wheel-chair bound students and perform toileting/diaper changing needs per their care plan. IF HIRED: Must have acceptable MA CORI and SAFIS Fingerprint Background Checks prior to start of :Full benefits and privileges are consistent with the Northampton Association of School Employees (NASE) Paraeducator Unit C Collective Bargaining Agreement Contract.
