Job Description
Primoris Energy Services is hiring Electricians for a major industrial project in Abilene TX.
Whether youre a seasoned Journeyman or an up-and-coming Electrical Apprentice this is your chance to power up your career on high-impact construction projects. Youll be at the forefront of installing maintaining and repairing complex electrical systemsensuring every job meets safety standards project specs and code requirements. Work alongside skilled teams contribute to critical infrastructure and earn per diem when eligibility requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Installation & Repair:Plan layout install and repair wiring fixtures control equipment underground cables and conduits.
- Blueprint Interpretation:Read and interpret blueprints schematics and construction drawings to execute work accurately.
- Troubleshooting & Testing:Diagnose electrical issues and operate basic electrical test equipment.
- Contractor Collaboration:Work closely with superintendents project managers engineers and other tradespeople.
- Safety Compliance:Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage (hard hat safety glasses respirator etc.) and OSHA standards.
- Mentorship:Train and guide electrical helpers and apprentices.
- Documentation & Quality Control:Ensure accurate reporting and accountability for tools materials and work quality.
- Termination Work:Perform terminations up to 1500V AC/DC.
Qualifications:
- Experience:Minimum 2 years in the construction industry as an electrician.
- License:Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License or Electrician Apprentice required (TDLR).
- Certifications:OSHA 30 preferred.
- Skills:Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems construction specifications and safety procedures.
- Physical Requirements:Able to lift 50 lbs work at heights in confined spaces and on uneven terrain.
- Work Ethic:Positive attitude strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
- Transportation:Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
