Are you ready to bring your experience and compassion to a rewarding role supporting individuals with disabilities

If so we would love to speak to you!

Starting Wage:$23/hour

Schedule:

This role provides 1:2 support(one caregvier two members) for two siblings in the same home. Parents alternate weeks living in the home with the members and the caregivers schedule follows that rotation:

Moms Weeks

  • Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday: 3:48 PM 10:30 PM

Dads Weeks

  • Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM 2:00 PM

  • MondayThursday: 5:30 AM 8:30 AM

  • Monday Tuesday Thursday: 3:45 PM 6:45 PM

  • Wednesday: 2:45 PM 5:45 PM

Client Bio:

These two brothers are full of life and bring a lot of joy to those around them.

One has a sweet contagious laugh a gentle and caring nature and a special connection with animalsearning the nickname Animal Whisperer. He enjoys reading textured or animal-themed books like Dr. Seuss and The Little Blue Truck playing in the pool swinging sliding and watching My Little Pony. He thrives with a caregiver who is calm gentle and loving and benefits from sensory supports like weighted blankets chewelry or quiet animal time when hes feeling emotional.

His brother is active outdoorsy and loves sportsespecially baseball football and jumping on the trampoline. He also enjoys practicing roping skills snuggling and even making breakfast (he can whip up eggs with a little supervision!). Routine and clear expectations help him shine and while he has strong self-regulation skills occasional cues from a caregiver can help him stay on track.

Together the boys bring balanceone with a warm social spirit and the other with energy and determination. They thrive best with structure patience and a caregiver who can support both their individual needs and their bond as brothers.

What We Do on a Typical Day

As a Caregiver with KIDS NW your day will include a mix of personal care daily support and meaningful connection. This role is hands-on deeply personal and designed to make a real difference in someones life.

  • All Things ADL (Activities of Daily Living): Providing support with bathing grooming oral hygiene dressing toileting incontinence care and mobility assistance. Youll also help with mealtime prep safe feeding and encouraging healthy routinesall while ensuring dignity and respect are at the center of care.
  • Adventures & Outings: Supporting members in the communitywhether its a walk in the park grocery shopping attending appointments or grabbing ice cream. Youll make sure activities are safe enjoyable and accessible.
  • Life Skills & Confidence Building: Teaching and modeling skills like cooking simple meals practicing money management following step-by-step instructions and strengthening social cues. Your encouragement helps members gain independence and pride in their progress.
  • Personalized Care in Action: Following individualized care plans and adapting them to each clients unique needs. This may include using visual aids step-by-step prompting or behavior support strategies to guide positive engagement.
  • Daily Check-Ins & Progress Tracking: Monitoring health and wellness documenting medication reminders noting behavioral changes and celebrating daily wins. Youll keep accurate records so our team can provide consistent high-quality support.

Heres what our ideal teammate brings to the table:

  • Own a smartphone or mobile device (required for clocking in/out and staying connected).
  • 18 years of age or older
  • CPR & First Aid Certified Already certified or willing to complete at hire (employee covers costwell guide you).
  • At least 1 year in care roles such as caregiver teachers aide behavior support staff or similar hands-on work.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Able to pass a state background check and complete fingerprinting if required by the State of Oregon.
  • Drivers Safety Some members need rides so we may ask for a valid drivers license and auto insurance to keep everyone safe on the road.
