The HRIS Data Analyst is responsible for the development maintenance and governance of Workday reporting solutions and related data assets. This role ensures that reports are accurate secure and compliant with organizational standards while supporting data governance initiatives across HR and other business functions.


The position requires both technical expertise in Workday reporting tools and a strong understanding of data management and privacy practices. While day-to-day reporting decisions such as approach and design are generally made independently by the employee based on provided specifications and data privacy guidelines more complex or sensitive scenarios may require consultation with the Senior Manager or Manager.

Reports & Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain Workday reports (Advanced Matrix Composite and BIRT) to meet business needs across HR Finance and related functions.

  • Partner with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into Workday reporting solutions.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure report accuracy usage efficiency and retirement of redundant reports.

  • Support enablement efforts by documenting reporting assets and contributing to self-service reporting guides.

Data Governance:

  • Ensure data integrity security and compliance across all reporting deliverables.

  • Participate in data privacy and governance initiatives including report access reviews audits and user permissions clean-up.

  • Assist in tagging cataloging and maintaining a central repository of Workday reports and dashboards.

  • Help implement and monitor data governance processes and escalate gaps in compliance when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems Business Analytics Human Resources or related field.

  • 35 years of experience in Workday reporting or HRIS analytics.

  • Familiarity with Workday report types and calculated fields.

  • Understanding of data governance principles access controls and privacy regulations.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple reporting requests.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Workday Prism BIRT or Workday Security configurations.

  • Knowledge of GDPR SOX or other regulatory frameworks.

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
