Edge OpenShift Engineer

TheEdge OpenShift Engineerwould need to have at least 3 years of experience on OpenShift cluster build especially OSV platform administration and well versed with Infra automation Observability tools.

In this role you will primarily focus on building OpenShift Virtualisation(OSV) clusters administering and supporting the OpenShift Container Platform at Fords Edge locations (on premise). This includes building out the Clusters managing container tenant provisioning isolation and capacity.

You will work directly with infrastructure as code-based automation to build and manage the capacity of the overall platform and deliver new capacity and capabilities as necessary.

Having a strong background in OpenShift container platform OSV Virtualization networking and security will be required in successfully fulfilling this role;

Additionally understanding application development lifecycles as well practical experience in working with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools as part of the container lifecycle will be useful.

- Build and manage the OpenShift platform ecosystem - Containerisation and Virtualisation (Installation Upgrade Patching Monitoring tools)

- Assist in change management of container platform for new versions of OpenShift Hotfixes SysAdmin tasks etc.

- Cluster capacity management and provisioning through automation of underlying hosts

- Provides L2 engineering support

- Works with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.

- Authors/edits system documentation/playbook(s)

- Expertise with the RedHat OpenShift Container/Virtualization Platform.

- Expertise with Kubernetes.

- RedHat certifications in OpenShift administration preferred

- Experience in Infrastructure provisioning monitoring and Operation support

-Must have hands-on experience on Infra As a Code (IAC) scripting language: Ansible Terraform Bash Python Node JS Powershell YML

- Mandatory Experience on Network Storage configuration on setting up cluster

-Experience on Observability tools - Dynatrace Grafana RHACM

- Expertise working with Docker or similar container technologies.

-Must have exposure on Tekton CI-CD tool with pipeline creation
