DevOps Engineer Remote

This is an exciting opportunity to help design automate and optimize our multi-tenant AWS cloud infrastructure while supporting mission-critical SaaS applications used across the food manufacturing industry.

What are we looking for
As a DevOps Engineer with Intertek Alchemy you will play a crucial role in designing deploying and maintaining secure and scalable AWS environments. Youll partner with product owners developers and operations teams to automate workflows improve CI/CD pipelines strengthen monitoring and security practices and support the overall software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities include:
Designing building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (EC2 S3 RDS Lambda) for production and development environments.
Implementing CI/CD pipelines that enable seamless low-downtime deployments.
Automating infrastructure builds using CloudFormation CDK and scripting in YAML JSON or Python.
Enhancing system monitoring to detect and resolve performance issues proactively.
Supporting developers with infrastructure needs across staging development and sandbox environments.
Performing backup and recovery operations while resolving complex AWS-related technical issues.
Collaborating with management product owners and engineering teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Documenting solutions and procedures to support knowledge-sharing across the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
5 years of technology experience with at least 2 years as a DevOps Engineer Infrastructure Engineer or SRE in a public cloud environment.
Hands-on experience with AWS services (CloudTrail GuardDuty Security Hub Control Tower etc.).
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD tools.
Proficiency in scripting (YAML JSON Python).
Working knowledge of GitHub and version control best practices.
Understanding of PHP MySQL and Snowflake.
Strong problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
Excellent verbal written and presentation communication skills.
Customer-focused and quality-driven mindset.
Preferred qualifications:
AWS certifications such as Certified DevOps Engineer SysOps Administrator or Advanced Networking.
Experience migrating SaaS applications from on-premises to cloud environments.
