Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Accountant to support a major $120M project in Downer Cove. This is a direct-hire permanent role that will be fully dedicated to a single 30-month project and will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions from start to finish. Following this project the accountant will transition to additional large-scale projects within the organization.

This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated accounting professional who thrives in a project-driven construction environment and enjoys taking full ownership of financial management for high-profile builds!

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary project accountant for a $120M project.
Manage all accounting functions related to the assigned project ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Oversee job costing cash flow projections and monthly billing.
Prepare review and analyze WIP schedules change orders and billing documentation.
Collaborate closely with project leadership and the central accounting team.
Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to project stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and GAAP standards.

Must-Have Qualifications:

5 years of project accounting experience within the construction industry.
Proven experience preparing and reviewing WIP schedules.
Willingness and ability to work fully onsite at the job site.
Prior experience as the sole accounting lead for a large-scale construction project.
Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
