Job Description

1st Shift Senior Maintenance Technician Plastic Injection Molding

As a Senior Maintenance Technician you will be essential in ensuring that injection molding machines and related equipment operate at peak performance. Your expertise will help maintain production schedules minimize downtime and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on injection molding machines. Diagnose and resolve mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical issues using expertise in motors circuits schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Equipment Calibration: Adjust and calibrate machinery to meet production specifications including parameters for temperature pressure and cycle settings.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment mold and auxiliary system issues quickly to minimize production disruptions.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow and promote all safety procedures to ensure a secure work environment for the team and facility.

  • Documentation: Keep accurate maintenance logs repair histories and modification records for tracking and analysis.

  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement initiatives to increase efficiency reduce downtime and integrate new technologies that enhance operations.

  • Spare Parts Management: Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate ordering to ensure resources are always available for timely repairs.

  • Collaboration: Partner with production teams to plan and schedule maintenance activities ensuring minimal impact on operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Electrical Hydraulics or Pneumatics preferred.

  • Experience: 8 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with strong preference for candidates from the plastic injection molding industry.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Advanced knowledge of mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

    • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair injection molding machinery.

    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints schematics manuals and safety documentation.

    • Skilled in using hand tools diagnostic equipment and precision instruments.
