Job Summary

StartSteps offers intensive bootcamps to equip aspiring professionals with skills and knowledge to transition into a new technical career. As part of these bootcamp programs the learners are required to participate in a series of Job Readiness sessions intended to prepare them for a career in the German job market and support them in their job search.

We are currently in search of a part-time Trainer a crucial role focused on the delivery and teaching of this Job Readiness series. This role will deliver a Job Readiness Series of sessions in English for international talent entering the German market. The series will be delivered to cohorts of mid-career professionals.

We have multiple cohorts planned for the 2026 calendar year so this role could be responsible for delivering multiple series of sessions concurrently up to 20 hours per week. Trainings occur one to two days per week Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm.

Tasks

  • Manage multiple course curriculums in total delivering 1-2 full-day training sessions per week
  • Teach courses on employability topics: including: CVs for Germany interviews job searching using LinkedIn; and soft skills topics including: conflict management problem solving teamwork communication and workplace culture.
  • Focus advice on German hiring norms
  • Give structured feedback to students and set short challenges
  • Coordinate 12 guest speakers per cohort aligning with the curriculum
  • Prepare a short weekly outcomes update

Requirements

  • 4 years in Germany in HR/recruiting coaching or hiring partnerships
  • Proven facilitation skills in a field related to job readiness or employability
  • Strong portfolio of relevant training materials or guides
  • Fluent in English as well as strong German skills
  • Reliable setup for live session delivery

  • Learners are able to consistently pass soft skills interviews during their job search
