Job Description
Location: Atlanta GA 30329
Rate: $55 - $60/hour
Start Date: ASAP Only
Shift: 3x12-hour Day Shifts (07:00 19:30)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team. This position involves working with pediatric patients undergoing treatment for hematologic and oncologic conditions in a high-acuity environment. The ideal candidate is a strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced emotionally challenging and rewarding clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric hematology/oncology patients.
- Administer chemotherapy and other treatments according to established protocols.
- Monitor patient condition and collaborate with the healthcare team to adjust care plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families about treatment processes side effects and home care instructions.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation using the electronic medical record system.
- Adhere to infection control procedures and safety standards.
- Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout treatment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric hematology/oncology nursing experience Required
- Must have recent and relevant experience in a high-acuity pediatric oncology setting
- Certifications (Required):
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- APHON Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider
- Licensure:
- Active RN license in the state of Georgia
