Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: at least 2 years Critical Care Exp First-timers accepted: No Certs/Lic Required: NBRC RRT cert BLS ACLS Certification/Licenses accepted: NBRC and SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) Experience Required: RRT Adult critical care experience Radiation Badge REQ: No Misc. Open to accommodating block schedule Approval prior to assignment but not guaranteed. Radius rule Yes 60 miles. Are locals accepted Yes on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate Pending State License accepted: RRT SC license must be in hand at time of start RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on manager/units needs. Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Teaching Hospital Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma: Magnet Teaching and Level 1 Trauma Total Staffed Beds: 865 Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue Charting: Epic Parking Cost: Nights and weekends cost only. Onetime payment of $20 for a parking pass. Patient Population: MUSC Ashley River Tower has nearly 200 beds including 2 ICUs 2 step-down floors 4 general acute care floors and a 21-bed emergency department. Cardiovascular ICU- 21 beds Postop Cardiac Thoracic & Complex Vascular Surgery Patients Heart & Lung Transplant Durable LVAD Temporary Mechanical Circulatory Support ECMO IABP & Impella Complex Cardiology Patient Post Cardiac arrest Acute Myocardial Infarction Decompensated Heart Failure Medical-Surgical ICU- 18 beds Mix Medical & Abdominal Surgical Patients ARDS Septic Shock Hematologic & Oncologic Emergencies GI Hemorrhage Pulmonary Hypertension Perforated Viscous Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
