Job Summary

This position cares for patients before during and after angiography interventional angiographic cardiac catheterization procedures. This includes pre-procedure assessment pre-medication documentation of cath process post-cath care patient education. Scrubs in for procedures and assists other members of the cardiac catheterization laboratory.

Performs nursing care of the catheterization/angiography patient.
Operates equipment i.e. cardiac output hemodynamic pacemakers/ICD s intraaortic balloon pump etc. Transfers patients stocks supplies and performs basic office procedures.
Scrubs in for procedures with the physician (not required but preferred)
Records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.

Requirement description :

This position is listed as Cath Lab but the expectation is that they would also be helping to cover and provide nursing support to our IR procedures and pre/post procedure care.

Cath Lab Experience - Required
Interventional Radiology experience - Highly Preferred
1 Years of experience in Electrophysiology - Highly Preferred
Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation -- Highly Preferred
Knowledge & operation of intraaortic balloon pump - Highly Preferred

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

ACLS (AHA)
BLS (AHA)

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :

Michigan

ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Must be active!
Weekend Requirements : Weekends and holidays would be only for call coverage
On Call Requirements : UP to 12 shifts a month
