MUST be OK working at coal mine sites about 25% of the time. They will NOT be going underground just going to the locations

An infrastructure engineer is responsible for building deploying and maintaining an organizations IT infrastructure ensuring its smooth operation by managing systems like servers networks storage and virtualization platforms while also troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to support business needs and emerging technologies; they often collaborate with other technical teams to integrate infrastructure components and maintain security standards.

Key responsibilities may include:

Implementing infrastructure solutions in complex environments.
System administration: Installing configuring and managing servers operating systems and network devices.
Monitoring and troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues related to system performance network connectivity and application availability.
Capacity planning: Assessing future infrastructure needs and proactively scaling systems to accommodate growth.
Security management: Implementing security protocols and best practices to protect data and systems from unauthorized access.
Collaboration with other teams: Working closely with development teams security teams and application support to ensure smooth integration and operation.

Required skills:

Expertise in server operating systems (Windows Linux)
Network administration skills (routing switching firewalls Cisco Meraki)
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware)
Understanding of security best practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to travel to remote sites (Up to 15%)
Weekend work as needed
5-8 years of experience

Desirable skills:

Cloud computing proficiency (AWS Azure GCP)
Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell Python)
Industrial/Manufacturing environment support
