Job Summary
Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Developer for a contract position supporting critical systems in the investment and finance sector. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a high-performance environment and can contribute immediately to delivery and handover efforts.
𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
- Design and implement Oracle database structures including schemas tables and stored procedures.
- Develop test and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL code.
- Tune database performance through query optimization and indexing strategies.
- Monitor and manage database performance availability and security using Oracle tools.
- Perform regular database maintenance including backups restores and version upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues quickly and effectively.
- Collaborate with business analysts developers and project managers to meet project goals.
- Lead database-related development work within larger technical projects.
- Create and maintain documentation for all development and operational processes.
- Stay updated on Oracle technologies and propose improvements for system performance and scalability.
- Mentor junior developers and support knowledge transfer during handover phases.
𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Developer.
- Strong expertise in Oracle SQL PL/SQL and performance tuning.
- Experience in the investment or financial services sector (required).
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable secure database solutions.
- Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture and related tools.
- Experience with data migration ETL processes and system integration.
- Proficient in diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelors degree in computer science IT or related field; Oracle certification is a plus.
