Job Description Engineer

Property: TWELVE Hotels & Residences Atlanta GA
Position Title: Engineer
Reports To: General Manager

Position Overview

The Engineer is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance to ensure the propertys mechanical systems guest rooms residential units and public areas are in excellent working condition. This position requires hands-on technical skills attention to detail and a commitment to providing a safe comfortable environment for all guests and residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair work on guest rooms residential units meeting spaces and public areas.

  • Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical plumbing HVAC and mechanical issues.

  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and building systems; report deficiencies to the Chief Engineer.

  • Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks in a timely and professional manner.

  • Assist with routine upkeep including painting carpentry and small projects as assigned.

  • Respond promptly to guest and resident service requests while ensuring minimal disruption.

  • Follow all safety security and OSHA guidelines when handling equipment tools and chemicals.

  • Support engineering leadership in special projects renovations and emergency response.

  • Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment in all engineering and back-of-house areas.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in hotel residential or commercial building maintenance preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical plumbing HVAC and mechanical systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to operate hand tools power tools and maintenance equipment safely.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical certifications a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand walk climb ladders bend and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.

  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
