Maintenance Technician in Fort Wayne IN

1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday Weekends as needed

Starting pay $33.00 per hour

As aMaintenance Technicianyou will be a crucial part of our operations ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect peoples lives!

Primary Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance activities such as cleaning lubricating adjusting and aligning machine parts.
Test troubleshoot and repair machines and equipment to ensure proper operation.
Order and install replacement parts as needed.
Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical electrical and other systems to reduce downtime.
Evaluate equipment and systems to identify areas for improvement and recommend upgrades to enhance performance.
Perform failure analysis on equipment diagnosing the root cause of issues and implementing corrective actions.
Document maintenance procedures and modifications through detailed technical reports.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

Two years experience in equipment maintenance preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
Knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication skills to prepare reports and document procedures.
