Job Summary and Responsibilities
We are offering up to a $10000 Sign On Bonus and up to $10000 in student loan repayment assistance for this position.
A CommonSpirit Health Nurse Resident is a new graduate direct clinical care registered nurse (RN) who continues to develop nursing knowledge skills abilities and behaviors introduced in formal education as they transition into practice. They are expected to demonstrate the appropriate competency in both core and functional areas listed below.
Progression is expected in the areas of leading through mission vision and values patient/customer focus taking ownership health care knowledge teamwork clinical performance improvement service excellence decision making and critical thinking and patient safety.
- Evidence-based Practice (EBP) and Patient Care: Builds skills to utilize current evidence based practice knowledge the nursing process critical thinking and problem solving skills to provide holistic care to individuals across the lifespan and care continuum.
- Interprofessional Collaboration and Communication: Learns to collaborate and communicate with the interprofessional team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- 12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience.
- Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska Iowa or nurse licensure compact.
- Basic life support is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Heart Association: Basic Life Support.
- Additional certifications may be required based on population(s) served and services provided.
