Job Summary

Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physicians Assistant) specializing in Critical this role you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality patient care in a critical care setting. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing and treating patients with acute and life-threatening conditions making a significant impact on their recovery and well-being. You will be involved in a variety of critical care projects collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities:

Assess diagnose and treat patients with critical conditions in a timely manner.
Develop and implement patient care plans based on individual needs and medical protocols.
Monitor and adjust patient treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Perform procedures such as intubations central line placements and arterial lines.
Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Educate patients and their families on conditions treatments and post-discharge care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices in critical care.

Requirements:

Valid NP or PA license in the state of practice.
Certification in Critical Care or relevant specialty.
Demonstrated experience in a critical care setting.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a 7-10 shifts per month

Daily Volume: 26-28 ICU patients

Required Procedures: Central and arterial line insertions intubations

Support Staff: Intensivist in-house or on-call

Must be board-certified
