This role will require being able to support with Braille.

As an Individual Needs Assistant youll play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs both within and outside the classroom. This involves:

Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support to students helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.

Assisting teachers in adapting materials and activities to meet individual student requirements.

Fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere promoting student independence and building their confidence.

Working closely with teachers parents and other professionals to monitor student progress and implement effective support strategies.

Supporting students with social emotional and behavioural development.

Has a genuine passion for supporting young people with diverse learning needs.

Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Is adaptable resilient and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Demonstrates a commitment to our schools values of diversity innovation respect and aspiration.

Has relevant experience or qualifications in supporting children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate).
